St. Patrick's Day.

St. Patrick's Day is celebrated on 17 Th March. Every Irish person or people of Irish extraction like to mark the feast day in a special way. Communities all over Ireland and abroad take part in Parades and generally have a good time.

In Ireland the biggest Parade is held in Dublin- marching bands, colourful floats, dancers commercial floats etc. walk through the Main Streets as people in their thousands line the pavements to view the spectacle and applaud the efforts of the many participants.

Throughout the country Parades are held in many towns and this promotes community involvement and participation. St. Patrick's Day really is a great excuse for a wonderful celebration.
